Kasco Announces Completion of Michigan Schools and Government Credit Union, Livonia, MI

MISGCULivonia, Michigan – Kasco announces the completion of the Michigan Schools and Government Credit Union’s new 3,400sf branch office located at the southeast corner of Eight Mile and Farmington Roads.  It is MSGCU first office location in Wayne County and provides convenient service to existing and new customers in this area.

The Building is a steel frame structure with concrete foundations, steel joists, beams and composite steel roof decking.  The exterior building systems include smooth and hammered cast stone, brick, and glass and aluminum windows and entry vestibule as well as pre-finished metal panels. The site is approximate 0.68 acres and includes Wayne County Standard commercial drive approaches, concrete walks, curb and gutters, asphalt parking and new trees, shrubbery, lawns and irrigation.  Onsite storm water management is provided with an underground HDPE (high density polyethylene) storm water treatment structure.

Customers will find their banking services provided in a contemporary setting featuring a porcelain tile and solid surface art wall, low VOC carpet tile and vinyl wall covering.  The teller line construction was finished with plastic laminate and solid surface materials. And ceilings where painted gypsum assemblies, tegular edged acoustical ceiling tiles and included a clerestory bay of windows.

Construction was planned as a 20-week schedule.  Kasco Project Manager, Eric Brouillard, said “the aggressive schedule kept everyone on task throughout the entire project, there was no time to lose”. With careful planning and diligent effort, Kasco’s project team was able to meet schedule obligation.  Eric summarized the project’s success by stating “they were so happy with the quality and timely delivery, they asked us to build their next one too”.
