Barrier Management

Kasco has developed a comprehensive system of auditing and reporting on the integrity of facility barriers. This system of surveying, repairing, maintaining, and documenting allows a facility to have up to date reporting on the condition of its barriers. Our system will evaluate your current Life Safety Plan, inspect, and report deficiencies, create a review cycle that will satisfy all Authorities Having Jurisdiction, create a budget for repair, complete and field tag repairs, document before and after conditions, and record all work on an interactive web-based firestop information system. Designated Responsible Individual (DRI)

With 5+ in-house DRIs on staff, Kasco ensures full compliance and safety throughout its project roster with efficiency and care. We support our firestopping professionals with ongoing training and certification to provide consistent and effective service to our clients.

What is a DRI?

A DRI is an individual employed by a UL Qualified Firestop Contractor. As a qualified firestop contractor, Kasco designates DRI’s by certification authorities (such as UL) to meet the Program Requirements. Our DRI’s understand all the necessary components in the approved Firestop design, as well as preventative and corrective measures necessary to keep a structure in compliance with firestopping program requirements, and to limit the hazardous spread and damaging effects of fire.
