UFCW Local 951 Expansion

Formerly a bank branch, the UFCW (United Food & Commercial Workers) Union purchased the 4,600 sf facility; with the help of Grand Rapids-based Interactive Studios, the programming called for an expansion / addition of 2,200 sf providing the Union with intelligently designed functional space for daily work, circulation and flow. Additionally, embracing contemporary finishes and functions, the end-result delivered and impressive appeal from the curb and interior.

The Kasco team partnered early with UFCW and the design team to work through numerous challenges, value engineering options and modifications avoiding costly post-bid changes.

The round-table open book, and transparent CM process with project stakeholders is one of Kasco’s specialties. This construction project partnership resulted in an ideal project delivery that the UFCW and all their members can be proud of and enjoy for many years to come.
